Why things are...
What are your studio rates, or why do you charge...?

Well, my studio rates are generally between $49 to $59 per hour.
My sound easily compares with studios charging $80 to $120 per hour, locally (Burbank, North Hollywood, etc).
Each professional session musician is only around an additional $65 per song.

I work rather quickly AND since I keep the rates lower than my competition, your project can be fully completed without sounding "embarrassing" or "rushed" while SAVING TONS OF $$$. If I had an outside facility, the price would require a large jump due to minimum facility costs of $60K per year for a small studio- so why bother?

I'm very comfortable working with HUNDREDS of audio tracks and even MORE sample/MIDI channels at both ends of the budget spectrum.

For every hour I work in the studio, it takes an additional one hour being unpaid for preparation, upgrading, fixing, learning, researching, etc. So, for 40 hours of making $ a week, it really takes 80 hours per week! Plus, the studio costs me around $22 per BILLABLE hour to run it (all costs considered- electricity, upgrades, insurance, repairs). So as you can see, for a nearly million dollar studio investment, YOU, my clients, are the definite winners! This is how it should be!!!

Thankfully, there are sponsorships and royalties on top of that make the effort worth it i.e. massive yearly upgrades, 99.1FM, ultra-high-end gear, large microphone collection, the very best and/or latest in technology, live shows, unlimited tracks, free advice anytime, plus expertise to pull it all off Happy
